Introduction to Mysticism Class
December 7 & 14 Friday mornings, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
What is Mysticism? What are the roots of Mysticism? Why is it part of the ancient Christian tradition? Are there mystics living today? Why does mysticism matter? Could you be a mystic? These are some of the questions Sr. Ana Cloughly, OSB will explore in this special two part class held Friday mornings December 7 & 14 from 9:30am-11:30 am at Benet Hill Monastery. Everyone is invited! Embark on a scholarly overview of this form of spiritual wisdom.
Advent Retreat: Pilgrimage of the Soul
Saturday December 8, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Join us for our Annual Advent “Pilgrimage of the Soul” led by Gail Murphy, MAPM. This year we focus on the season’s Spirit of Humility, the hope-filled message that God is God, and we are not.
Walk with our guides, Mary, the Mother of Jesus, John the Baptist and the Prophet Isaiah who arise from the pages of The Gospel of Luke. Bring a candle to participate in the tradition of the Advent wreath and leave for home with resources to continue your pilgrimage toward Christ’s Birth. Coffee, Cinnamon Rolls & Conversation begin at 8:30 am.
Registration Fees: $35
Current Scripture Student pay $17.50 and Oblates are Free but all need to register.
